WATER REACTING POLYURETHANE GROUT


Description

FOAM GROUT is a MDI base polymer system formulated to meet the needs of modern building leak repair requirements. The material contains no solvent and as such is non - flammable and easily applied. This product gel time maybe adjusted with a certain percentage of FOAM-LYST. Upon contact with water, FOAM GROUT react to form a closed cell polyurethane foam specially formulated for building waterproofing purposes.

FOAM GROUT has good chemical resistance and excellent resistance to water seepage cause by hydroscopic pressure and is non toxic once cured. The combination of FOAM GROUT and catalyst FOAM-LYST react with water once injected into leaking crack or point to form an expanded pressurised closed cell foam to contain water leakage.

Operation Procedure

FOAM GROUT system can be injected by motor driven or manual pump with all be necessary mechanical packer. Technical experience in handling equipment and assessment of site condition for suitable application may be necessary.

Storage and Handling

Storage at indoor room temperature. Temperature above 50șC may cause accelerate formation of insoluble solid. Good housekeeping is essential in areas where chemical spillage is likely to occur.

Partly used drums should be tightly sealed to prevent ingress of moisture. For better life span, partially used drum should be topped off with nitrogen and sealed tightly to prevent moisture contamination.

Health and Safety Advice

Skin          : Contact with skin may result in irritation.
Eyes          : A mild to moderate eye irritant.
Inhalation : Vapour may result in headaches, dizziness & possible nausea.

Wash with plenty of water immediately and consult a physician in all cases.

Wear goggles, rubber glove, full clothing when handling raw materials.

MSDS shall be available upon request.


Typical Reaction Data

The reaction time @ 25șC varies with the amount of added FOAM-LYST catalyst and 5% of water existence.
